THE CONTINENT

ELVEN KINGDOM OF ALURIA

Aluria has stood and watched over the post-cataclysmic world for around 1000 years, with its seat of power, Gran Lumina, built around the Great Mana Tree. Aluria governs nearly all of the continent, making alliances with the independent city-states up north, and protects its citizens against monsters like dragons.Aluria's political structure consists of a King and Queen, aided by a council of advisors. The military, composed of mages and shields, is run by appointed officials. Each city or region is run by a appointed governor.Alurian culture is primarily centered around magic and the central religious system revolving around the gods. The populace is predominantly elven, although many humans call the kingdom their home. The Emblem is a gold sun against an ether-blue background. Reminder of a hope that one day the eternal night may cease and light will return to the world.

THE LION'S GUARD

Having originated as a group of mercenaries for hire, the Lion's Guard has grown into a sovereign state in the central regions.
Their political structure consists of one king, who also commands the military force of knights.
They seem to be the first human force to be able to drive out dragons without help from the elves' magic. For this, there are a few who have their suspicions about The Lion's Guard.Having gradually assimilated city-states and villages, the Lion's Guard's culture is mostly defined by it's seeming indifference towards the traditional Alurian culture and religious beliefs. This is made evident when they converted the former religious city Serpent's Tail into their capital. The Emblem is the face of a winged lion, a rare creature meant to signify "strength" and "pride".

NEUTRAL GROUNDS

A neutral region near the center of the continent, legally meant to serve as a place for political meetings and treaties. However, in practice it serves as a hub for traders and guilds, especially the Mercenary Guild.

THE DARK LANDS

Outside the reach of the Great Mana Tree's ether light, beyond the mountains and Artic Border, lies The Dark Lands. A barren wasteland where nothing but pitch black darkness remains.Although few, if any, have dared to venture into the dark lands, it is rumored that in the dark lands roams the terrible dragon god, Shenyongo, who had cast the Eternal Night onto the world long ago.
